April's events highlights:

Thief Premier

We attended the exclusive star-studded international premiere of the new crime thriller, "THIEF," at Century Cinemax, Two Rivers Mall on 13.04.24. In a glamorous red carpet event followed by the screening the event was filled with excitement.

In "THIEF," viewers were taken on a gripping journey as reformed ex-thief Oliver, played by Lucarelli Onyango, teams up with wealthy benefactor Edward, portrayed by Neville Misati, in a daring heist to save Oliver's critically ill son. Their target? Donna's fortune, played by Helen Keli. Brace yourself for a thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

This premiere marks a hopeful acquisition for us, and we're eagerly looking forward to the excitement and anticipation surrounding this compelling film.

Njeri Karago Memorial

We had the privilege of attending the ‘Dangerous Affair’ screening in honor of Njeri Karago, a remarkable figure whose contributions to the Kenyan film industry have been nothing short of monumental. Njeri's passion for the craft of film and her larger-than-life presence have left an indelible mark on all who have had the pleasure of knowing her.

We celebrated her legacy with a special screening event, where her work was showcased and her impact celebrated. It was a moment to reflect on her immense talent and the profound influence she has had on shaping the landscape of Kenyan cinema.

Njeri Karago remains a force of nature, inspiring future generations of filmmakers and storytellers to pursue their dreams with fervor and dedication. Her love for the craft of film continues to inspire us all, and her legacy will forever be cherished in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.

Otis Janam Premier

We take special recognition of the film-Otis Janam, a great production by Dr. Zippy Okoth. The film promises to showcase authentic women hero stories against a backdrop of love, betrayal, ambition, and the vibrant lake lifestyle of Kenya. It tells the tale of a lazy fisherman unexpectedly winning a boat racing championship and subsequently earning the hand in marriage of the wealthiest man's daughter.

However, the central question arises: Can a good woman save a man from his destiny? This captivating narrative intertwines two worlds and dreams, ultimately exploring themes of culture, ambition, and the power of love. The film's release marks a significant milestone for the Kenyan film industry, demonstrating its ability to produce compelling and culturally resonant stories that captivate audiences worldwide.

Table Tennis Open Day at Karen Hub

We had an incredible time at Eric Wainaina's gig during the table tennis open day at The Hub Mall! Reconnecting with friends like Makena Mathiu, Arnold Lakita, and Damaris Muga made the event even more special. Playing alongside talented kids was truly inspiring, and I commend Eric for organizing such a fantastic event!

We commend Eric Wainaina for this great initiative that started during the COVID lockdown months.Eric began hosting a Table Tennis team whose training space had closed down. Now, with the support of well-wishers, friends, and the Nairobi Waldorf School Trust, they are able to put some of these kids through school. Every moment shared strengthened our bond and continues to create opportunities for positive change!
